In an effort to encourage innovative solutions to curb the excess usage of single use plastic, the Plastic Pollution Coalition, an organization which aims to bring awareness to the problems caused by plastic, has started a new initiative to slow plastic pollution.

The initiative, Think Beyond Plastic, is a competition and a conference featuring entrepreneurs and solutions that measurably reduce plastic pollution. The project focuses on innovation and disruptions to the conventional uses of plastic in products, infrastructure services and in the supply chain.
